INSIDE OUT (2015 film)
Production companies: Disney, PIXAR
Running time: 95 min

Plot
Within the mind of a young girl named Riley are the basic emotions that control her actions: Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust, and Anger

The ending and my impression
As you can imagine, the ending is a happy ending. Riley couldn’t believe her family, and she ran away from home. But finally, she accepted all of them (including ‘sadness’), and her family’s ties became strong. I saw 5 basic emotions do their best, and I imagined the same situation in my mind. Lastly, Riley became 12 years old. And she may have a more prosperous life with more complicated emotions. The core memories were all yellow, but as she grew up, they became mixed colors. I loved this scene. And another scene which I liked was inside the heads of adults. They have each emotion, so they sometimes make a mistake. But it’s really human-like.

I first saw this movie with English audio (without subtitles), and the second time, I saw it with English audio and Japanese subtitles. This movie tells me that accepting ‘sadness’ is essential for growth. If you’re about to lose sight of yourself or want to feel warm, why not take a look at “Inside Out.”
