2021年末にオープンした、新しいカフェAlice Boulangerieに行ってみました。
Alice Boulangerie（アリス・ブーランジェリー）
リスのアイコンが可愛いベーカリーカフェ。
店名にもなっている「ブーランジェリー」ってなに？と思って調べると、フランス語で「パン屋さん」という意味らしいです。
「Boulange（パンを焼く人）」に、場所を表す「-rie」を付けて、Boulangerieとなっています。

Kopi（コピ）
クロワッサンと写真映えする可愛いケーキがたくさん並んでいました。
コピ（シンガポールのローカルコーヒー）も置いていて、シンガポールのカフェらしい取り揃えです。
コピとは、東南アジアで愛されるローカルコーヒーのこと。
砂糖、コーンスターチ、マーガリンなどを加えてローストした豆を使います。さらに事前にコーヒーカップにはコンデンスミルク（練乳）がたっぷり。
これをかき混ぜながら飲むのがコピの飲み方です。
ちなみにコピにはオーダーの際に自分の好みを伝える必要があります。
Kopi（コピ）…コンデンスミルク入り
Kopi-O（コピ・オー）…ミルクなし、砂糖入り
Kopi-C（コピ・シー）…エバミルク（無糖練乳）入り
Kopi-O-kosong（コピ・オー・コソン）…砂糖なし、ミルクなし
知らずにコピを頼んだらめちゃくちゃ甘かった！というのが、初めてオーダーした人の失敗談としてよく聞きます。
オーダーしたもの（バナナキャラメルラテ）
今回はコピではなく、バナナキャラメルラテ（S$7）を頼みました。
ドリンクだけなのに10分くらい待ちましたが…ラテが可愛かったので良しとします。
すりつぶしたバナナが入ったカフェラテに、キャラメルバナナのトッピング。
単体で食べると、ほのかなバナナの甘みとキャラメルのサクサク感がマッチしていて、美味しかったです。
女性同士で、あるいは女性を連れていってみてはいかがでしょうか
店内は明るく清潔で、パンやケーキも種類が豊富なカフェ。
一度訪れてみると、みなさんのお気に入りの場所になるかもしれません。

This is a cute bakery with a squirrel motif. I looked up the word ‘Boulangerie.’ The meaning is a bakery in French.

It takes three minutes on foot from Tanjong Pagar station.
There were many croissants and cakes worth posting on Instagram. They also served Kopi, Singapore’s local coffee.
What is Kopi?
The local coffee loved in Southeast Asia.
Use roasted beans with added sugar, cornstarch, margarine, etc. In addition, the coffee cup is filled with condensed milk. When drinking it, mix the coffee and condensed milk.
You should tell them about your favorite flavor when ordering.

I’ve heard the story of people who didn’t know how sweet Kopi was.
What I ordered
I’ve ordered Caramel Banana Latte (S$7). After waiting for 10 minutes, I got the Latte. That was a latte with mashed bananas and caramel bananas topping. I felt the sweetness of the banana and the crispness of caramel matched, and it was good.
Why don’t you go to this café with women?
Alice Boulangerie is a good café with a wide variety of bread and cakes. Once you visit this café, it may become your favorite place.
