ついにシンガポールで吹奏楽団の合奏に参加することができました。
連絡を取るのを躊躇していたのですが、夫に連絡を取ってもらい、夫婦で入団することにしました。
もともと日本でも吹奏楽やオーケストラをやっていたので、シンガポールに来るときに心配だったのが、楽団に入れるかどうか。
事前に調べていたところでは
・BHSO （Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra）
国が資金を出しているアマチュアオーケストラ
・ESJ（Ensemble Singapore Japan）
BHSOを母体として活動しているアンサンブル団体
・WENS（Nippon Singapore Wind Ensemble）
日本人で構成されている吹奏楽団
というのが見つかりました。
わたしたちが入団したのはWENSという吹奏楽団。現在団員は20人ほどいらっしゃるようです。
コロナ禍でずっと10人以下で合わせることしかできず、今月になって久しぶりに合奏ができるようになったと仰って言いました。
わたし自身も1年以上ぶりくらいの合奏だったので、張り切って演奏してしまいました。シンガポールのコロナ感染者が増えてきていて不安ではありますが、楽しく活動できる日が続けばいいなと思います。
I finally joined the Japanese wind ensemble in Singapore. I couldn’t decide to contact or not, but my husband contacted it. And we decided to join it. When we were in Japan, we joined a wind orchestra and orchestra. So we wondered there was any group in Singapore we could join.
I found some groups;
・BHSO （Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra）
It is an amateur orchestra to which Singapore gives Financial assistance.
・ESJ（Ensemble Singapore Japan）
It is an ensemble group BHSO members join.
・WENS（Nippon Singapore Wind Ensemble）
It is a wind ensemble Japanese members join.
The group we join is WENS. The members are about 20 people now. Because of COVID-19, the government didn’t allow playing with more than 10 people. Fortunately, the member said they could play ensemble with 20 people from this month. I also haven’t joined a wind orchestra for one year. So I was so excited to play musical instrument together.
I’m afraid because COVID-19 cases in Singapore have been higher recently, but I want to have fun with them.
