シンガポールで暮らすことが決まってから、オンライン英会話「レアジョブ英会話」で勉強をしてきました。
約10ヶ月、ついに100時間の学習時間となりました！
1回のレッスンが25分（30分換算）なので、200日です。
レアジョブ英会話では、1対1でフィリピン人の講師から1日1回25分のレッスンを受けることができます。
講師は固定ではなく、自分の好きな時間に空いている講師を予約します。
初回のレッスンでは、「あ～～」とか「え～～」とか言っている間に終わったような気がします。
そんなわたしでしたが、回を重ねるごとに、少しずつですが会話ができるようになってきました。
時々、思わぬ話題（趣味の楽器演奏、学生時代の恋愛話、仕事内容の話など）で盛り上がることもあり、楽しいと思えることも多くなりました。
加えてシンガポールに来てからは英会話教室に通っています。ただ、生徒が複数いるので、生徒同士で話すことはあっても、先生と長くお話しすることはほぼありません。
聞き逃さないように集中して聞く、質問に答えたり質問を振ったりする、ということは1対1だからこそ鍛えられることだと思います。
「継続は力なり」
苦手なことも、続けていれば報われると信じて、さらに頑張っていきたいです。
After I decided to move to Singapore, I started learning English with the online English lesson, Rare Job English.
I’ve been doing it for about 10 months. Totaly, I spent 100 hours.
It means 200 days. Each lesson is 25 minutes.
I can take one-on-one lessons every day, which is 25 minutes. Tutors are all Filipino.
And I can choose tutors for each lesson.
My first lesson was terrible. What I only said was fillers, like ‘ahh’ or ‘uhh.’
But as I attend the lesson, my conversation skill becomes better.
Sometimes the tutor and I heat up talking about unexpected topics, shared hobbies, experiences in school, or jobs.
And also, I’m doing an English course. Several students are in the class, so I don’t have time to talk to the teacher one-on-one.
On the other hand, there’re good things about the one-on-one lesson. I have to focus on the conversations, and I try to ask tutors questions.
‘Practice makes perfect.’
I believe I can do it if I keep trying, even if I’m not good at it.
