おもしろくて感動すると評判の映画、「FREE GUY」を映画館に見に行きました。
I went and saw the movie, “FREE GUY.” Its reviews said it was fun and impressive.
英語音声＋中国語字幕のため、あらすじを事前に日本語で読んでから挑んだのですが…
何度かストーリーに置いていかれました。
ただ、笑えるポイントがわかりやすかったり、おおまかに理解できたストーリーだけでも充分すぎるほどおもしろかったです。最近見た映画の中で（古い映画も含めて）一番好きでした。
有名なゲームのオマージュなどもたくさん登場するので、ゲームに詳しい人はもっと楽しめると思います。
Because it is in English and it has a Chinese subtitle, I couldn’t catch some stories. Though I read the outline in Japanese before seeing it. But it was really fun because the jokes were easy to understand, and the story was great. It was the best of the movies I saw recently. I think game-lovers are more excited because there were many homages to popular games.
以下、残念ながら理解できなかった内容です。
・SKINってどういう意味？
ゲームに詳しくないので、前半に何度も登場するSKINという単語の意図が理解できませんでした。あとで「ゲーム内でキャラクターや武器の見た目を変更するためのアイテム」と知り、納得。これは元の意味を知ってないと意味不明ですね（映画内のガイのように混乱していました）。
・What is “SKIN” meaning?
I’m not familiar with the game, so I couldn’t understand the meaning of “SKIN”; the characters said many times. However, after looking up, I knew that it meant the item for changing the weapons and appearances of the characters in the game. This is confusing for people who don’t know the meaning. I was confused like Guy in the movie.
・ミリーとゲーム会社の関係
これは単純に英語リスニング力不足。聞き取れませんでした。
・The relation between Millie and the game company
I couldn’t catch the conversations because of the lack of my listening skill.
・ゲーム内でミッション56を手に入れたい理由
これも聞き取れないままストーリーが進んでしまい、なんで今これ手に入れようとしてるんだっけ？って思いながら観ていました。
・The reason to want to get the Mission 56
I thought why they tried to get it while seeing the movie.
あとからネタバレありのあらすじを読んで、細かいところが理解できました。
いつかネットで配信されたら、今度は日本語字幕でもう一度楽しみたいです。
After finishing the movie, I read the spoiler, so I could understand the details. Next time, I want to see it with a Japanese subtitle.
