実際に行ってみた感想・写真を添えてご紹介します。
シンガポール在住の日本人好みのパン屋さん事情
独断と偏見で日本人に人気なパン屋さんを挙げると、「チョンバルベーカリー（ローカル）」、「五穀七福（日系）」、「Fine Dining Bakery（日系）」など。
「チョンバルベーカリー」については過去に記事を書いています。現地の人にも大人気のクロワッサンは味も食感も楽しめます。

「五穀七福」はグレートワールドシティはじめ、いくつかのショッピングモールに入っています。日本の食材などを売っている明治屋も同じモールにあり、ついでにパンを買って帰る人も多いように感じます。
「Fine Dining Bakery」にはまだ行ったことがないのですが、生食パンが人気だそうです。
そんな中、2019年にノベナに「かもめベーカリー」という日系パン屋さんがオープンしました。
ノベナってどんなところ？
今回パン屋さんを訪れるにあたり、初めて足を踏み入れた場所です。
ここは小さなお子さんがいる日本人ファミリーに人気のエリアで、駅前にはいくつかのショッピングモールがあります。日系病院も含め、医療施設が充実していることも魅力の一つです。

かもめベーカリーの魅力① 素朴でかわいい店内
ノベナ駅から徒歩5分。ユナイテッド・スクエアというモールの向かいの道沿いにあります。
水色と白色を基調とした外観で、主張しすぎていないところが個人的に高ポイントです。店内も素朴な装飾となっています。なにより清潔なのも、日系のお店の良いところだと思います。
すぐそばでパンを焼いているので、店内は美味しい香りでいっぱいです。
かもめベーカリーの魅力② お惣菜パンが豊富・食パンも美味しい
おしゃれなパンもいいけれど、時々恋しくなるお惣菜パン。
コロッケサンド、エビカツサンド、焼きそばパンなどは、他のお客さんにも人気の模様。
ちゃんと中身も外のパンも美味しい、シンガポールでこんなパンが食べれるなんて！と感動しました。
また食パン（S$3.7）も本当に美味しく、個人的にはシンガポールNo.1でした。トーストした食パンの耳がパリッとしていて高級感があります。

かもめベーカリーの魅力③ イートインができる
モーニングメニューもあるようですが、購入したパンを温めてもらい、ドリンクと一緒に店内でいただくことができます。
（コロッケサンドS$5.2、チョコクロワッサンS$3.2）
たまたまなのか平日の朝に行ったときは満席になることはなく、ゆっくり過ごすことができました。
さいごに
久々に「リピートしたい！」と思えるパン屋さんでした。
ノベナに住んでいるわけではないのでやや行きにくいですが、美味しいお惣菜パンが食べられるなら多少の遠さは気になりません。
シンガポール観光でおすすめするようなお店…ではありませんが、シンガポール在住の人なら一度は行ってみて損のないパン屋さんだと思います。お気に入りベーカリーのひとつになるかもしれません。

Bakeries which Japanese people like in Singapore
‘Tiong Bahru Bakery,’ ‘Gokoku,’ and ‘Fine Dining Bakery.’ These bakeries are famous, in my opinion.
・Tiong Bahru Bakery
I’ve been to this café and posted about it before. The croissant is famous to local people, and you can enjoy the taste and texture.
・Gokoku
This bakery is located in Great World City and other malls. There’s also Meiji-ya, a Japanese supermarket, in Great World City, so many Japanese go there and buy these bread.
・Fine Dining Bakery
I’ve never been there. But this bakery is famous for white bread.
And the new Japanese bakery was opened in 2019.
What kind of place is Novena?
This is my first time visiting here. This is popular for Japanese families with small children. There’re several shopping malls near the station. And one of the attractions is there’re many medical facilities.
Attractiveness of Kamome Bakery
1. Simple and cute
This café is 5 minutes walk from the Novena station. It’s on the street opposite United Square mall. The appearance is based on light blue and white. I like its subdued colors.
The interior is also simple. And above all, Japanese cafés are clean. The staffs are baking bread, so you can enjoy the delicious smell.
2. Many kinds of savory bread and tasty white bread
I love sweet bread but also savory bread. And I sometimes miss savory bread. Croquette sandwiches, shrimp cutlet sandwiches, yakisoba bread, etc., seem to be popular with other customers. I was impressed that I could eat the delicious savory bread in Singapore. And I also loved white bread(S$3.7). For me, this white bread was No.1.
The toasted bread is crisp and luxurious. (However, considering everything, Pullman Bakery’s white bread is the best.)
3. You can eat in
There seems to be a morning menu, but you can also eat the bread warmed up and have a drink. (Croquette sandwich S$5.2, chocolate croissant S$3.2)
I don’t know usual, but I was able to spend a relaxing time at that time.
Lastly
I want to visit this bakery again. It’s a little hard to go to because it’s far from my condo. But I don’t care because I can eat tasty savory bread again. Honestly, it’s not a café for tourists, but I’d recommend it for people living in Singapore. Kamome bakery may become one of your favorite bakeries.
